Thank you for considering to work with me as your therapist. I would be delighted to help you and/or your family member in the counseling process. In order to best serve you in the future, I’ve included some answers to some of the main questions asked by potential clients.
Taking the step forward in choosing a counselor is a courageous step forward. While I’d love to talk with you asap to answer any of your questions, I’m often meeting with other clients. So in the meantime, I hope that these answers below help with some commonly asked questions. Thank you again for your interest in counseling. It is truly an honor and privilege to assist in the counseling process!
What is your area of specialization?
My primary focus is complex PTSD (C-PTSD) and trauma-related issues, especially for adults who grew up with childhood adversity, family dysfunction, or addiction in the home. I also work with life transitions, depression, and stress that often show up alongside trauma.
I help adults who feel like life has become unmanageable—emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in the same patterns—by creating a clear plan for healing. Together, we build practical coping skills, healthier relationship patterns, and a stronger sense of self so they can feel more grounded, hopeful, and in control of their lives.

**Virtual Therapy: Serving Georgia**
All of my sessions are offered virtually (telehealth) through a secure video platform. This allows you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home—or any private space—without the stress of driving across town, sitting in a waiting room, or rushing between responsibilities.
Embrace the flexibility of virtual therapy, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or seeking support through challenging times. Our sessions are secure, confidential, and tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals in these two states.
Join us from anywhere in Georgia for a journey toward healing and growth, all from the comfort and privacy of your space. Let’s navigate your path to well-being together, with care that’s accessible and compliant.

What to expect from your first session.
The first session is called an intake, and its purpose is to get a full picture of what you’re going through and what you’re hoping will change.
During this session, we will:
Review a few intake forms, consent, and basic policies
Talk about your current concerns, symptoms, and what brought you to therapy now
Explore relevant pieces of your history (at a pace that feels safe for you)
Clarify your goals for counseling—what “better” would look like for you
Answer any questions you have about the process and discuss next steps
You don’t have to tell your whole story in one session. The goal of the intake is simply to understand you better, make sure you feel heard and safe, and begin building a plan that fits you and your life.
